Welcome Griffin Alumni

Greetings from Ryan Clark '01, Chair of the Alumni Council 

Dear Alums,

Well, the 2011-112 school year is off and running, and there is an excitement around the school that, as an alumnus, can only make you proud to be associated with such a great community.  From the Presnell Upper School to the excitement around the Headmaster search to the start of competition in a new athletic conference, the buzz at SDS is not just confined to the campus, but has reached the whole Upstate.

We also have several new projects and events in the works for the Alumni Association.  We kicked off the year with the fist alumni soccer game thanks to the hard work of Ritesh Patel '03, and planning has already started for Homecoming and several new opportunities to contribute to and reconnect with the SDS family.  Be on the lookout for announcements about Homecoming and other events through our Facebook page, alumni website, and alumni newsletter.

I want to give a big thank you to Eric Foust '88 and Ann Brady Moore Carlson '01.  Their tireless efforts as leaders for the Alumni Association over the past few years have helped it grow by leaps and bounds.  They have been great ambassadors for SDS and great leaders for our Alumni Association.  Thank you again for your services, and I hope to serve our alumni network as well as you both have.

I'm grateful for the hard work and great ideas that Eric, Ann Brady, and many other have contributed over the years to build a strong SDS Alumni Association, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for the school and our growing alumni base.
