Cultivating the Fields of Creativity

The arts are deeply rooted in Spartanburg Day School's academic curriculum. It is our belief that art is an important tool for learning. In addition to teaching children about the world around them, art teaches discipline and communication skills that can be applied to every other area of learning. All of our arts classes integrate aesthetic education, critical analysis, art history and cultural heritage into the creative process. The broad scope of the arts program impacts all of our students from 4K to 12th grade.

The school is fortunate to have one of the strongest fine arts programs in the region. Many of our graduates have been accepted to study in the most renowned art programs in the Country.

Spartanburg Day School has an extensive permanent student art collection on display in the main lobby and throughout the school, for everyone’s enjoyment.
