Frontiers
Every student in 1st to 4th grades participates in the Frontiers Program, which is our accelerated curriculum for math and science. Frontiers uses the inquiry based method of learning and students are guided to figure out all the answers by thinking critically and creatively. While working in Frontiers, our youngsters will wear their white lab coats and feel like they are official mathematicians and scientists! Students are challenged by working linear equations in our Hands-On Algebra Program or solving complex math problems. They do experiments with simple machines, matter, create an original perfume, and dissect sharks.
Our 4th graders have a culminating independent study project where they research a topic of their choice and become a resident expert at their Independent Study Fair.
Every week students study famous mathematicians and scientist and how their contributions have impacted our world. Students need to put their higher level thinking skills to the test in this challenging and fun class!
I like Frontiers. You test an experiment and discover new things.
