The exchange program would see students from Spain spending two weeks here in Spartanburg, and SDS students spending two weeks in Madrid. Students will stay with host families.

"I'd love to go," said ninth-grade student Ben Mironer. "You get to go to another country and experience a little bit of their culture.

The Spanish visitors had lunch with an upper school Spanish class and students enjoyed the opportunity to practice their Spanish.

Calvo and Frances were presented with official Spartanburg Day School ties by headmaster, Chris Dorrance. As they left the campus, the couple were proudly wearing their gifts.
