B.A. from College of Charleston in English
M.A.T. from Converse College in Secondary English Education
Professional Experience:
Before I was a teacher, I was a substitute teacher and a proofreader for a publishing company. I spent ten years at a public high school, where I taught everything from AP Literature and Composition to Freshman English.

I love being a part of the SDS faculty because our team is not only diverse in its knowledge, but also full of years of experience. In addition, we are all devoted to our students' growth: academically, socially, and ethically.

A fun fact about me is that I attended the Fine Arts Center my senior year in high school for creative writing.
Being at SDS is a family affair. My husband is the librarian, and our children are in 4th grade and 4K. When I'm not teaching, I can be found listening to music, cooking, playing soccer, playing tennis, or painting.
