Education:
Clemson University, Elementary Education (B.A.)
Converse University, Advanced Studies in Reading (MEd)

Professional Experience:
I taught for four years in Charleston County schools where I grew my love of inquiry-based teaching models in a math and science magnet school. After moving back to Spartanburg, I started furthering my degree at Converse University to gain more knowledge in the reading and writing curriculum.

Why I do what I do...
I love building on students' natural curiosity and pushing their thinking about the world around them. I love to witness the student-led action that comes from building their curiosity and passion.

I love having my two children here with me at SDS. Outside of school, they do a great job of keeping me busy and entertained. We love our nightly dance parties, building forts, being outdoors as much as possible, and running around any beach!
