Joined by family, teachers and friends, Spartanburg Day School senior Kaif Surka signed a letter of intent Thursday to play soccer at Converse University.

The spring play’s final performance Thursday evening culminated with an exciting surprise announcement for a brand-new black box theatre to be built on the SDS campus, creating a dedicated performance space for all students to explore drama, music, public speaking and more. The building will be named in honor of long-time SDS theatre teacher Valerie M. Barnet.
Students and faculty gathered today for the annual Spirit of the Griffin assembly, celebrating and recognizing all who learn and live in community as Griffins. The assembly is meant to honor the essence of the SDS community, to celebrate tradition and to recognize excellence and character.
