Spartanburg Day School Earns College Board AP Honor Roll Distinction

Spartanburg Day School has earned the highest level of recognition on the College Board’s 2024-2025 Advanced Placement Honor Roll, receiving Platinum distinction for its commitment to academic excellence and college readiness.

The AP Honor Roll recognizes schools that expand access to rigorous coursework while supporting students in achieving strong performance on AP exams. Platinum status represents the top tier of the College Board’s national framework.

“This recognition reflects the work our students and teachers put into academic excellence every day,” said Dave Skeen, Head of School. “We are proud of the way our community continues to prioritize strong preparation for college and beyond.”

To earn AP Honor Roll recognition, schools must meet benchmarks that reflect three key priorities: expanding access to AP coursework, supporting students in earning college credit, and creating pathways for students to engage deeply in advanced academic study throughout their high school experience.

The Platinum designation places Spartanburg Day School among an elite group of institutions nationwide recognized for balancing access and achievement in Advanced Placement programs. Its comprehensive curriculum is designed to challenge students intellectually while fostering critical thinking, leadership, and lifelong learning. The Advanced Placement program continues to grow as part of a broader mission to prepare students for success in college and beyond.
