Senior Cam Srivastava Named U.S. Presidential Scholar

Spartanburg Day School Senior Cam Srivastava is among the elite group of students in the 59th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, the U.S. Department of Education announced today.

Only 161 seniors from across the nation were selected for accomplishments in academics, arts, and career and technical education fields. The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars narrowed the initial pool of more than 5,000 candidates based on academic success, artistic and technical excellence, essays, school evaluations and transcripts, as well as a demonstrated commitment to community service and leadership. Presidential Scholars include one male and one female from each state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and U.S. families living abroad, as well as 15 chosen at-large, 20 scholars in the arts and 20 scholars in career and technical education.

Since 1964, the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program has honored more than 8,000 of the nation's top-performing students. Click here for a complete list of 2023 recipients.
