Testimonial Tuesday: Meet Anna Couchell
Testimonial Tuesday: Meet Anna Couchell

We are excited to share our next edition of Testimonial Tuesday, a weekly feature that highlights the voices of our students and the heart behind the Griffin experience.

We are pleased to introduce Anna Couchell, a 10th grade Upper School student.

“Being at Spartanburg Day School has shaped my life, helping me grow as a person. Academically, it has helped me become more independent and responsible by teaching me how to stay organized, meet deadlines, and take ownership of my learning. I've been part of clubs I love, including Student Government, Interact, and Youth in Government. They have all helped me become a better person and strengthened my leadership skills.

"I have made numerous friendships, which I am beyond thankful for because having friends who love and care about you is just as important as a school's academics," she added. "At Spartanburg Day School, I've had the opportunity to do things I thought were impossible, and I'm able to challenge myself in classes and on the tennis court. I love all my teachers as they guide me through high school, because it can be difficult sometimes. I love SDS because it is a trusting community and an overall safe environment to learn in. I’ve grown not just as a student, but as a person who has become more caring, loving, and thoughtful.”

If this experience speaks to what you want for your child, take a look around our website to learn more and take the next step toward becoming a Griffin.
