After a months-long, nationwide search for a new director of admissions and enrollment management, Spartanburg Day School is pleased to announce that Casey Bell will be joining its leadership team later this summer.
Bell comes to SDS from Linfield Christian High School in Temecula, Calif., where she currently serves as the chief enrollment officer. She previously worked at the school as director of admissions and as director of college counseling.
"Ms. Bell's enrollment management experience, her high regard for building lasting relationships with families and her commitment to an independent school experience will serve the Day School well in the years to come," said Head of School Rachel Deems. "She is highly regarded by her colleagues at her current school where she has spent more than a decade building programs and moving their institution forward. She is equally valued as a colleague in independent school professional circles where she is an active contributor to areas of best practices in admissions and enrollment management."
After visiting SDS during the interview process, Bell said she was attracted to an educational environment where students are known, challenged, affirmed and supported.
"The values of excellence, individuality, leadership, curiosity and passion resonate deeply with me as exactly the traits that schools should develop in students in this innovation era of education," Bell said. "What I loved is that it was clear to me from my visit to campus that those aren't just words on a website but truly the hallmarks of the Day School student experience."
Bell earned a bachelor of arts in communication studies from Azusa Pacific University. She completed the international advancement certification program through Independent School Management (ISM) and is currently pursuing a doctorate of education in organizational change and leadership through the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education.
