Tuition & Affordability

Thank you for considering a Spartanburg Day School education. For most families, investing in an independent school education requires careful financial planning. As you will learn through the admissions process, families find great value in the Day School educational experience and the way in which we prepare our students for college and beyond.

That experience begins with our half-day programs in preschool.

2018-19 3K & 4K Tuition:

3K (until 12:15 p.m.): $8,934
3K (until 6 p.m.): $9,925

4K (until 12:15 p.m.): $9,293
4K (until 6 p.m.): $10,300

We seek to admit talented and motivated students, regardless of family resources. And we believe that economic diversity enriches the educational opportunities for all our families.

With this in mind, Spartanburg Day School offers the following range of tuitions for our full-day, K-12 programs to help families who feel the full cost of tuition is out of their reach.

2018-19 K-12 Tuition Ranges:

Kindergarten: $3,455 - $13,817
Grades 1-4: $4,072 - $16,288
Grades 5-8: $4,595 - $18,380
Grades 9-12: $4,808 - $19,230

Every family is expected to contribute to the cost of education at Spartanburg Day School, thereby supporting the community to the extent family circumstances permit. In order to assess what a family can reasonably afford for educational costs, Spartanburg Day School uses FACTS as an objective and independent third party. FACTS calculations are the baseline for our flexible tuition determinations, but we also take into consideration our school's policies and the resources available for both re-enrolling and prospective families.
