Apply to Upper School (grades 9-12)
The Upper School balances a challenging curriculum with careful attention to each student’s progress and needs.
Students benefit from a broad exposure to the classic liberal arts as well as sharpening skills including critical thinking, clear and persuasive writing and blending ideas across disciplines.
The Upper School academic day is from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The application process is all about getting to know your child. Here are the steps, all of which must be completed by the appropriate deadlines.

Our admissions team would be delighted to give you a tour of campus, show you our Upper School, and answer any questions you may have about the Spartanburg Day School experience. Applicants for admission to grades 9-11 will complete admissions testing.
In addition, a classroom visit day will need to be scheduled during the fall or early winter in order for the applicant to experience a typical day at Spartanburg Day School. This visit can be incorporated with admissions testing and lasts from 7:50 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Applications for grades 9-11 require a completed teacher evaluation form from his or her current school. It is available within the online application, and will be sent to the evaluating teacher via email.
Additionally, please sign the record release form and forward to your child's current school.
Spartanburg Day School accepts international student applicants to our Upper School for grades 9-11, culminating with graduation after 12th grade. We have welcomed students from Brazil, China, Germany, South Korea, Spain, Turkey and Vietnam to our community.
