To the classes of 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015: we're throwing a special party just for you! Each year our young alumni are invited back to SDS during their winter break to reunite with each other and faculty. Join us in the Presnell lobby on Friday, Jan. 10 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. for a 'mix and mingle,' then stay to enjoy the first varsity basketball game of 2020 in the Stone Family Gym that evening.  We hope to see you there!

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO GIVE TO THE ANNUAL FUND!

Join your loyal SDS Alumni Council in giving to the Annual Fund this year.  The Annual Fund is one of Spartanburg Day School's most important sources of revenue. Dollars raised each year support our teachers' efforts in the classroom while enhancing fine arts, athletics, technology, professional development and facilities across the three divisions.

This year's Annual Fund goal is $500,000

by December 31. Every gift counts and helps our students and teachers love where they learn every day! 

NOMINATE YOUR FAVORITE GRIFFIN ATHLETE OR COACH FOR THE SPORTS HALL OF FAME!

Nominations for the Sports Hall of Fame are due NOW! The Hall of Fame was established to recognize former SDS student-athletes and coaches who have outstanding athletic accomplishments or have made significant contributions to Spartanburg Day School athletics. The induction of a new member will occur during Homecoming festivities on Feb. 7.

THANKSGRIFFIN 2019 was a huge success!

'RING'UNITED

Alumna Julia Murray '80 contacted us recently because she found Cheryl Ann Kopec Nahmias's '87 SDS class ring in the parking lot of a pizza restaurant in Atlanta. How small a world is it that a Griffin finds another Griffin's class ring?  And to prove the world is truly small, the owner of the pizza restaurant grew up in Spartanburg.  Thank you, Julia, for reminding us how far reaching the ties to SDS truly are!
