AN UPDATE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
We're savoring every moment of these crisp, sunny days as the seasons change. It's officially feeling (and looking) like fall on our beautiful campus, and our students and faculty alike are enjoying a little extra time in the fresh air. As we near the end of this first quarter, I am impressed daily by the responsible nature in which our community navigates this "new normal" of on-campus learning. We have proven already that our community is capable of working together to stay safe and well, and with a long weekend beginning next week, please don't take this forward progress for granted. Your decisions and choices over the break can make a difference when we all return. Don't let your guard down. If you're traveling, stay vigilant as travel to high risk areas increases your chances of exposure. Wear a face covering, practice physical distancing and be especially aware of symptoms associated with COVID-19.

VANGEISON SELECTED FOR US EQUESTRIAN INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETE PROGRAM
Congratulations to junior Paige VanGeison who was selected by the US Equestrian National Governing Body to participate in the US Equestrian Interscholastic Athlete Program. This program was developed to provide recognition for the accomplishments of young equestrians and encourage their future involvement in the sport. Paige has been a leader on Griffin equestrian team, and we couldn't be prouder of her accomplishment. Congratulations Paige!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VOTES!
For the fourth consecutive year, Spartanburg Day School was voted Best Private School in the Spartanburg Herald-Journal's 2020 Best of the Best Spartanburg contest. Thank you for your votes and your continued support, Griffins! See the winners here.
