REMEMBER TO CHECK OUR COVID-19 DASHBOARD FOR UPDATES
Please remember to check SDS's COVID-19 dashboard for the latest information on any confirmed positive cases and quarantines. As a reminder (see more information here), this reporting tool replaces notification emails to faculty and families of new positive cases impacting our campus. Families are encouraged to access this page at any time to stay informed of COVID-19 updates.
VIEW & DOWNLOAD SCHOOL PHOTOS ON VIDIGAMI
Vidigami is now active for the 2020-21 school year! Vidigami is Spartanburg Day School's online photo sharing platform for parents, making it easy for you to view and download school images. Returning families should use their existing Vidigami login; if you're a new family (or never activated your account last year) look for an email in your inbox to activate your account. Log in today via your web browser or the Vidigami app on your mobile device to see images from yesterday's I'm a Griffin Day festivities! If you need help accessing your account, contact Director of Communications Lee Healy for assistance.
HALLOWEEN AT SDS
Halloween is a special tradition at SDS. This year will bring new health and safety challenges to overcome, but don't worry – we won't let the holiday pass without some spooky fun for our Griffins! In lieu of the traditional all-school Halloween parade and trunk-or-treat, we're planning opportunities for students to safely celebrate throughout the day. Please plan to send your student to school in costume on Friday, Oct. 30, for a day of tricks, treats and tradition!
DONATE YOUR UNWANTED TREASURES TO THE INTERACT CLUB YARD SALE
Fall is the time to clean out that messy garage, basement, or storage building, so let us help you declutter while donating to a good cause. The Spartanburg Day School Interact Club is now accepting donations for its annual yard sale. The club is asking for household items, clean/gently used clothing, tools, furniture, knick knacks, toys or anything you feel will be beneficial.
Donations will be accepted from now through the morning of Nov. 9; pick-ups will be available until Wednesday, Nov. 7. Please contact susan.owens@sdsgriffin.org or levi.wall@sdsgriffin.org to arrange.
SCHOLASTIC VIRTUAL BOOK FAIR TITLES STILL AVAILABLE
If you were unable to attend Scholastic's Virtual Parents' Night, brought to you by Hub City Bookshop and benefitting the Spartanburg Day School Parents' Community, or just have not gotten around to ordering your books, we have GOOD NEWS! You can still order books from the event here.
There are links on that page to the books that were discussed, and parents may purchase those titles directly from those links. Simply place your order and go to Hub City Bookshop and pick up. AND… any additional books that you purchase will count towards sales that SDS will get credit for to receive a portion back—just make sure you mention that you are with Spartanburg Day School and your purchase is part of the Scholastic event.
Hub City Bookshop will give a portion of the sales from this event to Spartanburg Day School, and we very much hope that next year we'll be able to have our normal in-store event, which our staff always enjoys! But for now, we hope your families enjoy this alternative event.
