Book Fair

The Spartanburg Day School Book Fair will be held at Hub City Bookshop downtown from November 5-9. They will donate 10% of all sales back to SDS!

House & division competitions! Dress down passes!

 

About Hub City Bookshop:

  • Hub City Bookshop is located at 186 West Main Street, downtown, across from the Herald Journal Building.

  • Hours of operation:10 a.m. to 7 p.m. M-Th., 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday

  • Hub City Bookshop is a full-service bookstore and can get any book of your choosing, usually within two days.

  • They have gift cards (think teacher gifts!)

Schedule:

  • Monday: Pop-up shop in Milliken Lobby from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday: Read for Play. Visit the bookshop for a chance to win a night for four at Big Air Trampoline Park.
  • Wednesday: SDS Night! Come learn about the Harkness method for class discussions. Our own Mrs. Camp will moderate a discussion about "The Glass Menagerie" by Tennessee Williams.
  • Thursday: Daytime shopping. (Hub City will be closed in the evening for a private event.)
  • Friday: Deserts or coffee. Buy a book, receive a discount on your cupcake or coffee purchase next door.

How to purchase books:

  • Come shop at Hub City Bookshop!
  • Parents, grandparents and friends of SDS may purchase books ONLINE the week of the Book Fair and SDS will still receive 10% of the proceeds! Encourage your friends and family to email orders to Hub City Bookshop that week only at SDS@hubcity.org. To check out titles, please visit www.hubcity.org.
  • Online ordering is available thorough Nov. 17.

Online ordering steps:

  • Email sds@hubcity.org and in the subject line type SDS.
  • In body of email type your name, your phone number, the title, author and edition (paperback or hardback) of the book(s) you want.
  • That's it! Hub City Bookshop will confirm your order via email, and they will call you when your order is ready. Then you may either:

1) Pick your book(s) up at the bookstore and pay at that time, or

2) Give Hub City Bookshop a credit card number over the phone when they call you, and an SDS Bookfair volunteer will get the book delivered to you at SDS.
