This week has felt unusual, starting with MLK Jr. Day on Monday, a delay on Wednesday, and now Friday has arrived before we knew it! However, next week, we’ll come together as a school to celebrate the excitement of Homecoming Week! I am sure by now you have received the class updates with the events and themes, and your student(s) have told you what fun they expect to have.
As part of this exciting week, we’re thrilled to introduce Spartanburg Day School’s first-ever Day of Giving, happening for 24 hours on Friday, January 31. Griffin Day of Giving is all about boosting our community’s participation in the Griffin Fund. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact by supporting our students, teachers, and programs. Our collective participation also sends a powerful message to the greater Spartanburg community about our school’s strength and unity. To make this day even more special, an anonymous donor has pledged a $10,000 gift if we receive at least 200 contributions to the Griffin Fund on January 31. Let’s come together to make this day unforgettable!
We will have a lot of opportunities for you to partake in this Day of Giving. You can donate online, visit the Griffin Day of Giving table at our Homecoming basketball games on January 31,or email Perrin Patterson at perrin.patterson@
We are in this together because every member of the SDS Learning Community can make an impact whether it is $1 or $1,000. We will also have "Griffin Banks" in each of the Divisions next week. This is a great opportunity for students to practice philanthropy and contribute to their school. Follow our progress throughout the day and prepare to celebrate as we get closer to our participation goal of 200 gifts. Please join us on January 31 for our Homecoming games and Go Griffins!
Sincerely,
