Dear Spartanburg Day School Learning Community,
Each morning, I arrive in the Stone Gym parking lot and meander my way to the Lower School for morning carpool at 7:30. This morning I commented to myself just how active our campus was at 7:15 and have since realized that our mornings are reflective of the growing buzz of activity here on Skylyn Drive. Today, we saw the 3K students setting up for the Farmers Market, Griffin Grounds students preparing for their last day of coffee sales before they go into AP exams, third graders putting the last details on their IB folders to share with parents, Ms. Shealy attending to the final setup for the Lower School Spring Concert, and eager parents reserving seats.
I arrived at my post on the Lower School carpool circle fulfilled, fifteen minutes into the day, because our learning community was coming together in a fabric of connection that celebrated all the different ways our students and families shine. You can't find this unique cauldron of activity anywhere else around us, and I was proud of that. Thank you all for supporting these buzzy mornings!
Sincerely,
Dave Skeen
Head of School
