Dear Parents, 

As we close another week, I want to recap recent events and put a few important notes on your radar. Our year-end events are in full swing, and the calendar is packed from now through graduation. 

Staying connected and up-to-date is crucial for a successful and productive close to the school year. Please encourage your student to check email frequently and stay on top of their studies, upcoming event dates, and deadlines. Course selection sheets were due yesterday. If your student has not had the chance to submit their requests, please have them do that at the beginning of next week.

Senior parents, thank you for providing pizza this week for seniors and faculty. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to slow down and spend lunch with the kids. It's tough to believe we will watch this group receive their diplomas in a few weeks. Related, I recently sent a reminder that senior posters are due May 1. Thank you to those who have already dropped them off at the front office. Seeing what's been created to celebrate our soon-to-be graduates is heartwarming. The senior parade is scheduled for 9:00 on Friday, May 3. I will send the schedule and parade route information over the weekend.

Pictured above, recent graduates Myles Moore, Will Pinkley, Will Henderson, and Caroline Wall dialed in to speak with seniors about their college experience. Seniors enjoyed a Chick-fil-A lunch while having their questions answered by the panelists.

Tomorrow, AP Stats students travel to Clemson for a practice AP exam. Monday is an E day. College Counselors will hold their third senior series on Wednesday during MidMac (see College Counseling Corner for more info). There is an AP Art Exhibit Reception at Ridge Gallery on Wednesday from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, and French Honor Society Inductions will take place on Thursday, April 25, from 11:30 am – 12:00 pm. Select students will travel to Columbia to the Sandhills Research and Education Center to compete in the SC Envirothon on Friday. Good luck, Griffins!
