News from the Upper School
Things are picking up speed in the Upper School! This week included the second senior/faculty lunch on Tuesday. This is always a great time to spend with our exceptional seniors. On Wednesday, our annual Spirit of the Griffin assembly was held, in which we honored three remarkable Upper School students with the Spirit of the Griffin Award, Price Nelson and Mirabelle Ferguson, and the Ben Stone Award, Matty Lyle. The swim team was also recognized by receiving their State Championship rings. Congratulations to all.
As we write this, we are waiting to hear how our Envirothon teams did at today’s competition in Columbia.
Students were asked to turn in their course requests and any appeals for courses by this afternoon. College counselors and administrators will begin processing those shortly to prepare for next year.
As you’ve probably seen on Griffin News's main page over the past several weeks, the first annual All School Field Day will be held on Friday, May 16, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. We strongly encourage all students to attend unless there’s a valid reason why they cannot, and we would love to see as many parents as possible.
