News from the Upper School
Dear Upper School Parents & Students,
The campus has been full of holiday cheer as we’ve worked to wrap up fall semester classes. World Language students caroled in both Spanish and French before assembly on Tuesday. Ms. Greer’s Chemistry classes enjoyed making ice cream, and last night’s Winter Concert was wonderful! Cap it all off with today’s tacky sweaters, and Upper Schoolers are officially in holiday spirits!

Exam week is here! Students may dress down (no pajamas, please) during exam week. Lunch will be served on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Students are not required to attend school if they do not have an exam scheduled. Here’s the schedule, one last time...

*Extended time ends at 12:00 PM for AM exams and 4:00 PM for PM exams.
**Students should contact Ms. McGrath (amanda.mcgrath@sdsgriffin.org)
to schedule conflict and/or make-up exams.
The locations of individual exams can be found here. Be sure to click the different tabs on the bottom to access the various days. Ms. McGrath emailed individual information about conflict exams last Friday–be sure to reach out to her with any questions about conflict or make-up exams. VISTAS students and students with accommodations should reach to Ms. Sorrenti with any questions about their exams.
As a reminder, semester exams are worth 20% of the overall semester grade. While teachers conducted reviews and recommended study tactics for their individual courses, Learning Scientists provides excellent research based study strategies. These resources have been shared with the Upper Schoolers, and my hope is that they will help students make excellent use of study time.
Looking forward, here are the details for the remainder of the semester:

I know that students will be studying hard this weekend–parents, please help your children remember the importance of resting and recuperating so that they will be ready to take on the challenge of next week!
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
