News from the Upper School
Tuesday was Senior Night for our basketball teams and our cheerleaders. Students and faculty gathered to celebrate senior athletes on Tuesday during the home basketball games. It is hard to believe that the 2024 - 2025 season is winding down, it seems as though it just began.
This week marks the last full week of classes for a little while. Classes will run Monday through Thursday (2/10 - 2/13) next week and then Tuesday through Friday (2/18 - 2/21) the week after.
Students will be headed into Special Studies for the week of February 24th. Some students have permission slips, behavioral expectation forms, and medical forms that need to be signed and turned in. Please ask your student if they have turned in all required materials to their Special Studies proctor. They will need to return all forms before they will be allowed to participate in their Special Studies event.
The week after Homecoming is always a little restless, students are anxiously awaiting their Special Studies trips and are still buzzing with excitement surrounding Homecoming events. The third quarter will end soon after our return. We always like to remind students to get in any missing work, make up any tests, and to check in with their teachers if they are concerned about a course. The end of the quarter has a way of sneaking up on us!
SDS Teacher’s were celebrated this week with a variety of treats, events, and kind notes from students. Thank you all for supporting our teachers and showing a little extra appreciation during Teacher Appreciation Week. A special shout out to the Parent’s Community for putting it all together!
With much gratitude,
Jillian & Amanda
