Dear Upper School Parents and Students, 

Happy Homecoming Week! It’s been a remarkable few days–GREAT job to those who worked tirelessly to make everything happen. Students: your hallways, banners, videos, and costumes were amazing! Congratulations! And a very special thank you to Ms. Sorrenti–none of this week would’ve been possible without you–we truly appreciate all that you have done for HOCO ‘26! 

As I mentioned in my email earlier today, the decision has been made to reschedule tomorrow's Homecoming Dance. The weather forecast is calling for 3-5 inches of snow throughout the day tomorrow. Safety is always our top priority, and we will not risk student safety by holding an event during hazardous weather/driving conditions. Looking forward on the spring calendar, there is zero weekend availability for many weeks. 

As such, the dance has been rescheduled for this coming Thursday, February 5 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. In recognition of the weeknight, all athletic practices will end by 5:00 PM and students will not have homework or assessments on Friday. 

Thank you for your patience with the timing of this decision. The School is balancing the uncertainty of weather forecasting with the need to respect your time and plans. Obviously, the hope would have been to have the dance as planned. However, the silver lining is that a rescheduling option exists within a reasonable amount of time.
