November 1 kicks off the Month of Gratitude when we work to have 30 days of intentional acts to promote practicing gratitude towards each other to build relationships, benefit our mental and physical health, become more resilient, and be more engaged with our community.

The month of gratitude always comes at a perfect time in the Upper School as we celebrate another meaningful Halloween on our campus. We are so grateful of our Upper School students and the extra time they all took to prepare their trunks for Trunk-or-Treat. Interacting with our younger students in the community is a heartwarming thing to witness year after year, and it is one more example of what makes our Day School community so special.

All 14 advisory trunks were amazing this year. The judging was tough, but the top 3 trunks were:

3rd place - Jurassic Park; Harvey and Spearman advisory
2nd place - Trolls; Sullivan advisory
1st place - Up!; Joseph/Gladson advisory

The next 7 weeks will fly by as we gear up towards the holidays and mid-term exams. Students should work hard to stay focused to get all work turned in on time, prepare for assessments, and be at school on time and consistently. There are several opportunities during the week for students to receive additional support from teachers: midday MAC 12:00 - 12:30 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, as well as after school 3:15 - 4:00 any day.

Enjoy your weekend, and remember to turn back your clocks on Saturday night!

Best,
Amanda & Jillian
