Our Second Annual Paint & Park has officially kicked off. Seniors have gathered with Ms. Sorrenti and Ms. Sullivan over the past month to prime, sketch, and paint their parking spots. This has quickly become one of our favorite traditions; students are able to spend time socializing, listening to music, and getting creative. 

 

The SDS US band held it's annual Halloween concert this week. The students were very excited to put on their costumes and play a few tunes for their families and peers. We are very thankful to Mr. McCoy for helping our students prepare for such a special evening. It takes a lot of time, organization, and decorating to make our gym look and sound that spooky.

The US helped organize an All School Drive to support families impacted by Hurricane Helene. A huge thank you to our community for their generous and thoughtful donations. We think that these items will help provide a little comfort to our friends and neighbors throughout the Upstate and Western North Carolina.

Quarter one grades will be finalized this upcoming week. Students are checking in with their advisors every Wednesday about grades, coursework, and any other academic concerns. They should be aware of any missed work, pending assignments, or makeups that will need to be completed before these grades are submitted.  We encourage students to speak to their teachers if they have any questions or concerns about their academics.
