Greetings from Presnell, where today, the excitement of college football starting this weekend is palpable, accentuated by College Colors Day. I, Jillian, am beyond excited to welcome college football back into my weekends. If only the temperatures would go below 90 degrees. 

One of the many amazing aspects of our Upper School is the feeling of support students feel when they have an idea of a club they would like to start. When an idea for a new club is developed, students submit a New Club Proposal Form and present their idea to SGA, which then votes the club into establishment. On Wednesday, we held the 2nd annual Club Fair through the halls of Presnell. Representatives from over 15 clubs in the Upper School shared about their club and offered the opportunity for new members to sign up. There is something every student in the upper school can become involved in.

Athletic events are picking up. We hope you will take the time to support our student-athletes this fall. Cross country, swimming, girl's tennis, and volleyball are all working hard for great seasons. 

We hope to see you on Wednesday, September 4, for Upper School Parents’ Night. We will begin at 6:00 in the Dent Gallery with a brief introduction. Then, you will run an abbreviated version of your student’s daily schedule to meet teachers and advisors. 

Next week, we will welcome 17 students and 2 teachers visiting from Germany. They will spend time experiencing classes at our school, going on day trips in the area, and getting to know American culture while they are here for a little over 2 weeks. We hope to learn about their school and culture as well.
