News from the Upper School
This week marks the halfway point of the first quarter of this school year. Progress reports are available on RenWeb at 5:00 today. Students who will have progress reports visible this quarter are students new to SDS and those who currently have a 77 or below in a class. If you have questions about your student’s progress thus far, please contact your student’s teacher directly. Progress reports can be accessed in the Family Portal of FACTS. Click Student on the left, then Grades. The Progress Report tab will be available.
On Tuesday, during assembly, Sra. Flores recognized several Spanish students in levels 3 and 4 who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2024 National Spanish Examinations. Congratulations, all!

Also, on Wednesday, a group of juniors and seniors went to USC Upstate for a college fair to get information about colleges nationwide. Thank you, Mrs. Spearman and Ms. Wesneski, for taking our students to this opportunity.
As you read from Mr. Skeen’s message, we are adjusting parking across campus to ensure parking is available for faculty, staff, visitors, and students. We realize this change is an adjustment for students, but we appreciate your understanding.
Thank you to all students and faculty in the Upper School who wore a hat and/or donated money for Kidz in Lids today. The Upper School raised $200 for the Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas.
Students will prepare to take the PSAT (SAT for seniors) on October 8 during next week's midday MAC by completing the digital readiness process on their devices. For the process to go as smoothly as possible, Ms. Wesneski has asked that students have permission to download and update their permissions in the App Store until test day, October 8.
Have a wonderful weekend!
