How to Apply

We are delighted that you are considering Spartanburg Day School for your family.

Choosing a school is an important decision, and we are here to make the process clear, supportive, and welcoming from your first click to the day your child becomes part of the Griffin community.

Holistic Admissions
Admission at Spartanburg Day School is about much more than a test score or a transcript. Whether your child is starting in 2K or joining us in Lower, Middle or Upper School, we look at each child as a whole person and each family as a partner. Along the way we consider many things: your child's curiosity, character, readiness and records, plus what we learn from our conversations, campus visits and shadow days.

Most of all, we look for families who share a commitment to Spartanburg Day School. These are families who believe in what we do, feel at home in the Griffin community, and picture their child growing here from the day they arrive to the day they walk across the stage at graduation.

SDS offers a complete 2K through 12th grade education on one campus, with several points of entry along the way. Our program is designed as one continuous journey. Each division builds on the one before, and every new student, whenever they join us, becomes part of that path. Students gain the most when they stay with us through graduation. Teachers know them for years, friendships last, and each year builds on the one before.
We look forward to learning more about you throughout the application process.
